Artículo modificado por el artículo 34 de la Ley 6 de 1992. El nuevo texto es el siguiente: Responden solidariamente con el agente de retención los funcionarios oficiales que autoricen, expidan, registren o tramiten actos o instrumentos sometidos al impuesto, o quienes sin tener dicho carácter, desempeñen funciones públicas e intervengan en los mencionados hechos.

ARTÍCULO 517. LOS FUNCIONARIOS OFICIALES Y LOS AGENTES DE RETENCIÓN RESPONDEN SOLIDARIAMENTE CON EL CONTRIBUYENTE. Responden solidariamente con el contribuyente:

1. Los funcionarios oficiales que autoricen, expidan, registren o tramiten actos o instrumentos sometidos al impuesto, o quienes sin tener dicho carácter, desempeñen funciones públicas e intervengan en los mencionados hechos.

2. Los agentes de retención del impuesto.
